ACCESSING YOUR POTENTIAL WITH
I am a licensed psychotherapist in private practice in San Francisco and Marin county, where I enjoy working with individuals, couples, groups, teaching and consulting. I received a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and am a certified Hakomi therapist
I have completed extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, positive psychology, behavioral neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology, all of which are woven into my work.
All coaching engagements are customized to each client’s unique needs.
My work with clients is experiential and present-focused. It blends a pragmatic, skills oriented focus with an emphasis on compassion, integrity, and an active inclusion of the body and mind. I hold a strength-based approach and emphasize resource building and increasing well-being in my clients’ lives.
In addition to my formal clinical training, I am a certified as a mindfulness teacher by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s Mindfulness Teacher Training program. It is my belief that psychotherapy is more than simply healing symptoms; it is about helping clients reach their goals and creating a life that is meaningful, connected and engaged. I am an outdoor enthusiast, and my personal aliveness and well-being is supported by playing in the wilderness and also through contemplative time in nature.
It is my belief that psychotherapy is more than simply healing symptoms; it is about helping clients reach their goals and creating a life that is meaningful, connected and engaged.
“There are teachers and there are presenters. And then there is a human whose presence not only touches you but allows you to stop, reflect, embrace compassion, and be deeply moved and motivated to not only start doing the work, but keep doing the work. Lori is that human.
I’ve had the privilege of attending a 5 months training under the facilitation of Lori. She’s a woman who not only embodies what she teaches but leads, nurtures and inspires well beyond the end of training.”
